Junior Royals

For 2025/2026, we’re proud to introduce the Junior Royals, a brand-new offering designed for players who are ready to move beyond FUN2 but aren't quite ready for full competitive play.

This exciting program is similar to FUN3, but with a house league format, giving players more game time, local scrimmages, and skill-building sessions — all while staying close to home and focused on development and fun. It’s the perfect next step for young players who want to keep growing their game!

This program is designed to develop players' ringette skills in a local arena without the need to travel outside of Muskoka: Amping up the fun, friendship and skills growth for all players. Skaters are required to wear skates (no pick!), full protective gear (shin guards, girdle/pants OR socks/hockey shorts, chest protector, elbow pads, neck guard, gloves), and a CSA-approved helmet with a ringette cage. If you're looking for extra ice time for your skater while getting to know a new sport, the Junior Royals could be for you!

Registration includes:

  • Sessions once a week over 23 weeks from September-March at the Gravenhurst Arena. Dates and times to be determined
    • Sessions are 50-minutes long
    • Sessions will offer a mix of practices for skill building and game play
    • Breaks align with the school year calendar
    • Parents not required on the ice but do need to stay in the arena
  • Players are provided with a jersey they will use for the season
  • End of year banquet
  • Administrative costs, including Ringette Ontario fees ($80+ per player)

In 2025/2026, the Muskoka Royals will be offering Junior Royals house league-style play for the following age groups:

  • FUN3 (players born in 2015/2016)
  • U12 (players born in 2013/2014)
  • U14 (players born in 2011/2012)

Please note that the Junior Royals is designed as a development stage for players who are interested in taking the next step in their ringette journey. This means that we expect some more commitment to practices and attendance than our FUNdamentals program. If you have questions about this, please reach out to us!

2025/2026 Registration Details

 Registration Fee:
$450 Earlybird
 (until July 15, 2025)
$500 Regular (after July 15, 2025)

Practice Time: To Be Announced

(practice times subject to change)

If your skater develops to a level where it makes sense to add in Regional play, we can work with you to move your player into that program mid-season.

Like most organized sports, all registered players must submit proof of completion of the Respect In Sport For Parents program for at least one parent/guardian before the player steps onto the ice. It is a one-time course, so if a parent/guardian has already taken it for another child or sport, that proof of completion is valid for this use. The parent/guardian's unique completion code can be submitted upon registration or later via email to contact@muskokaroyals.com
