The FUNdamentals program is designed to help new skaters and skaters who are new to ringette learn the basic skills of the sport and create amazing memories. Whether a skater is in FUNdamentals 1 (Learn to Skate), FUNdamentals 2 (Learn to Play) or FUNdamentals 3 (Learn to Compete), the program is built for each player to succeed. A player may start the year in FUN1, but as their skills and experience grow, they could find themselves in FUN3 by the end of the season, ready for a regional team in the following season! For more information on this progressive program, check out Children's Ringette.
FUN1 is built for our youngest skaters (born in 2020 or earlier) who are new to ringette to help them build their basic skills, learn basic game structure, and experience fun & friendship in a team sport environment. Skaters are required to wear the same gear as hockey, including skates and a CSA-approved helmet with a ringette cage.
Registration fees cover the following:
Like most organized sports, all registered players must submit proof of completion of the Respect In Sport For Parents program for at least one parent/guardian before the player steps onto the ice. It is a one-time course, so if a parent/guardian has already taken it for another child or sport, that proof of completion is valid for this use. The parent/guardian's unique completion code can be submitted upon registration or later via email to contact@muskokaroyals.com.
