The Muskoka Royals are excited to be announce that we have been selected for a club funding grant from Ringette Ontario and the Government of Ontario. The grant is for a total of $9500, and will help us provide much needed support for our youngest athletes as we develop a sustainable ringette culture in Muskoka!
As a result of this funding agreement, we have been able to purchase 13 sets of brand new equipment (except for helmets and skates), which will be lent out to new FUN1/FUN2 players this year with a small deposit. At the end of the season, players can either return the equipment, or purchase the sets at a reduced cost to continue playing ringette with us in the future.
The funding will also provide much needed support for marketing endeavours, including an update to our website, social media, digital media and other parts of our marketing efforts. We hope that these increases in marketing funding will lead to more players on the ice, particularly at the FUNdamentals level.
We gratefully acknowledge the support of Ringette Ontario, who facilitated this grant on behalf of many associations across Ontario, as well as the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Heritage, Tourism, Culture and Sport. We look forward to bringing more players into the great sport of ringette this coming year!
