House League

Our House League program is a chance for players to get a feel for the game of ringette without the pressure of travel. House League teams practice once a week from mid-September to March, with two weeks off at the winter holidays. The practices are full-ice with all three house league teams rotating through various drills and exercises. There will also be 10 house league games for each team throughout the year. No travel is required for house league players, but our organization will work to provide additional optional game experiences which could involve welcoming teams from other local associations (Barrie, Sunderland) or travelling to those locations.

Registration fees cover the following items:

  • ice rentals costs for practices and games
  • referee fees
  • administrative costs
  • use of a house league jersey (one of three teams: Blue, Gold or White)
  • end of year banquet awards

Additional skill clinics, power skating, extra practices, and other wardrobe expectations are paid for separately by the parent/player and are not part of the registration fee. These additional costs are generally optional and will be communicated in advance to player families.

In 2022/2023, the Muskoka Royals will be offering house league play for the following age groups:

  • FUN2 (players born in 2015/2016)
  • FUN3 (players born in 2013/2014)
  • U12 (players born in 2011/2012)

2022/2023 Registration Details:

Registration Fee: $350

(Muskoka Royals: $293.50 + Ringette Ontario: $56.50)

Practice Time: Thursday, 6:00pm

(practice times subject to change)

NEW in 2022/2023: Please note a few changes to the registration fees this year:

  • Ringette Ontario (RO) will collect all their fees and insurance as a separate transaction - our association does not see this money. We have lowered our overall player fees to adjust for this, but our understanding is that you will need to make two payments during the registration process.
  • The regional tournament entrance fee is now included as a part of player fees. In the past, players were paying this fee, but we have included it in the overall fee so that families weren't being asked for more money at the end of the year.
